Our team completed a full furnace installation for a homeowner in Minooka, replacing an older, inefficient unit with a new high-efficiency system designed to provide reliable and consistent heating throughout the home. After carefully evaluating the existing setup, we recommended a properly sized furnace to match the home’s heating needs, ensuring improved comfort and better energy performance during the colder months.

In addition to installing the new furnace, we made several key upgrades to enhance overall system performance. One of the most important improvements was increasing the filter size from a standard 16x25x1 to a larger 20x25x1 filter. This upgrade allows for better airflow and improved air filtration, helping to reduce dust buildup and maintain healthier indoor air quality. A larger filter also requires less frequent replacement and places less strain on the system, contributing to longer equipment life.

To further improve airflow, we installed a new bottom return air box. This addition helps the system pull in air more efficiently, reducing restrictions that can cause uneven heating and added wear on the furnace. Proper airflow is critical for both comfort and system longevity, and this upgrade ensures the furnace can operate at peak performance.

Once installation and modifications were complete, our technicians thoroughly tested the system to confirm safe operation, proper airflow, and optimal heating output. We also took time to walk the homeowner through the new system, explaining maintenance recommendations and answering any questions to ensure they feel confident moving forward.
